A couple who are engaged to be married wanted selfies with the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at the red carpet event at Marina Bay Sands. Here's how they did it:

"We had a mission last Thursday at The Amazing Spider-Man 2 red carpet event in Singapore: Get a selfie with all the stars.

"We knew that we wanted to get shots with Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and director Marc Webb.

"So there and then at Marina Bay Sands, my fiancee and co-founder Gillian came up with the idea of doing up a sign: 'GETTING MARRIED - NEED A SELFIE #SPIDERMAN.'

"So we waited for hours at the barricades to the red carpet, waiting for the stars to arrive. It got us more attention than we bargained for, as we were interviewed by SIX reporters.

"A lot more cameramen took shots of us too. But the sign worked! One by one, we got our selfies with Marc, Jamie and then Emma.

"The last and the best selfie came when Andrew Garfield sauntered down the red carpet, charming media and fans alike. He was in the middle of an interview when we called out his name, and he sort of did a double take when he saw our sign.

"Then he smiled and winked at Gillian (which made her terribly happy, of course) and said: 'I'll be right over.'

"So that was it: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! It's just a pity our selfie with Andrew was spoiled by the poor lighting conditions."
