It was a Christmas Day to remember for veteran crooner Datuk A. Rahman Hassan who tied the knot with actress Fadilah Mansor.

The 67-year-old singer, who led the Orkes Nirwana group in the pop yeh yeh era, married Fadilah, 54, during a ceremony held at Putra World Trade Centre, which was attended by 400 guests.

This is the second marriage for both of them, reported Kosmo!

Rahman's wife Datin Azizah Muhammad, a singer with his band and also an actress, died last year following a battle with cervical cancer.

Fadilah, a mother of two, was formerly married to film director Ahmad Ibrahim, but divorced in 2010.

The couple hoped for a long-lasting union. Fadilah, who was elated to have tied the knot again, was grateful that the marriage received the blessings of their children.

"I never expected to be married again, especially at this age.

"As they say, this is all fated and I thank Allah for this union. I hope to be the best wife for my husband," she said.
