Veteran kungfu star Gordon Liu sues former assistants

Former martial arts star Gordon Liu has filed a lawsuit against his former assistant, Eva Fung, in a bid to get back HK$2million (S$325,100) of 'his savings'.According to an report, the suit stated that Liu has requested for the court to confirm that defendant Eva Fung had Lau's two accounts only in her trust, which contained RMB1.39 million (S$285,577) and US$580,000 respectively.The lawsuit also requested that Fung turn over all related savings in the account and the account's records.In the event that the court rejects that notion, Liu's legal representatives may order the defendant to turn over the related saving to the court so the court may issue living expense to him in the future for his housing, medical and other needs. On Wednesday (May 30), reporters contacted Liu's guardian, Fan Yik Man, who stated that she did not want the matter to end up in court since everyone knew each other and that lawyers cost money.She only wanted to regain Brother Ka Fai's finances for his future medical expenses.From as early as January, she had already asked Eva for savings from the two accounts but to no avail.She was left with no choice but to head down the the legal route. Fan Yik Man said that Liu already knew about the matter being in the hands of the court.Currently, his, health condition has been getting better, as he has already been transferred to a nursing home with 24-hour care.Earlier this year, he suffered a fall and had an operation. On a follow-up visit, the doctor praised him for gaining two to three kilograms.His appetite has been great and he loved chocolate. He also wanted to go out.If he could be more stable in his wheelchair, she has promised to take him outside.
