American pop singer Selena Gomez's concert at The Star Performing Arts Centre on February 21 has been cancelled.

According to organisers Midas Promotions, the 21-year-old singer of hits such as Come & Get It and Love You Like a Love Song has cancelled the Asian leg of her current tour, which includes dates in Manila, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur.

She did not give a reason for the cancellation. However, it has also been reported that she has cancelled her Australian tour, also in February 2014, which includes dates in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

She released a statement for the Australian cancellation, saying that "after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be".

Midas Promotions says that they will be releasing details on ticket refunds soon.
