TVB’s most eligible bachelor Ruco Chan‘s (陳展鵬) love life has been under close scrutiny. He latest romantic interest is reported to be Katy Kung (龔嘉欣).
According to Jayne Stars, the 37-year-old actor turned down an offer to appear at a Buddhist function to eat hot pot with 24-year-old Katy Kung.
On the evening of Mid-Autumn Festival, which fell on September 9, the pair were spotted at a hot pot restaurant with good friends Matt Yeung (楊明), Jason Chan (陳智燊), and his girlfriend Sarah Song (宋熙年). Katy was also heard calling Ruco “Pang Pang”, an affectionate nickname.
Upon seeing the paparazzi, Ruco and Katy immediately looked grim. According to the reports, Ruco was furious and scolded the waiters for letting the reporters in. He quickly left the restaurant with Katy before finishing his meal. His friends were also shocked by his sudden aggressive attitude.
It was rumored that Ruco, who developed good feelings for Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) while shooting Brother’s Keeper <巨輪> and All That Is Bitter Is Sweet <大藥坊>, was pursuing Linda for the past year. However, Linda is unable to let go of her boyfriend of seven years, Philip Ng (伍允龍).
Ruco then turned his interest to Katy, who shares the same Chinese name as Linda. Both Ruco and Katy starred in No Good Either Way <衝呀！瘦薪兵團>, but the pair did not have much screen time together.
Ruco was asked if Katy was his girlfriend, but Ruco denied, insisting they are only friends. Asked about their date, Ruco said, “Nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing happened.”
The fact that both actresses share the same Chinese name did not go unnoticed by fans. Strange or coincidence?
