Local actress Rebecca Lim could not stop laughing when we told her she had won the Babe Of The Year award. She had bagged the same award in 2011.
Lim garnered 2,050 votes, beating fellow nominees Fann Wong (1,712) and Stefanie Sun (217).
The 28-year-old said between bouts of laughter: "Sorry, but I find it really funny that people voted for me, or that people thought it would be funny for me to win this.
"Of course, I am surprised and very happy. Fann and Stefanie both have huge fan bases and are such hot Mamas. If I were to vote, I would have voted for them."
Lim admitted that she did not create much publicity for her nomination during the week-long voting period in mid-December as she did not expect to win.
She said: "I thought, let's just save myself the embarrassment and not ask people to vote for me."
She then joked: "I won because I bribed my fans and I hacked into your voting system."
On a more serious note, Lim - who will next be seen in You Can Be An Angel Too alongside newly-minted Duke Of The Year Xu Bin - thanked her hardworking supporters for her victory.
Lim, who plays a nurse in the medical drama, looked at the medal we presented to her at You Can Be An Angel Too's press conference and said: "It's a nice trophy to bring home. The other one (a balloon trophy) that I received two years ago has already deflated.
"I am going to put this in my grandma's house - it will make her happy."
For Lim, the label "Babe" means someone who is "hot, sensual and confident". And that is why she has never considered herself to be one.
"My confidence is very different, It's more like I'll just be myself. When I don't feel like talking, I don't. When I want to make a fool of myself, I will. I don't really care if it's the right thing to do," the star said candidly. I've grown to become more comfortable in my own skin."
