International star Rain recently opened up over the hateful comments about him that he read online after getting out of the army.

Speaking on the latest episode of Mnet's 'Rain Effect', he revealed that the negative comments hurt him, but he is keen to have them still, reported Soompi.

He shared: “Of course it makes me upset when I read hateful comments and personal attacks online, but I guess it’s better than zero interest on me.

“Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs.

To me, I thought they were good friends, wonderful friends, but then all of a sudden, our relationship took a turn for the worse.

"I’m not bitter about it. Even if it hurts, I decided not to let it show.

"Whatever happens to me, I’ll just deal with it.

"I knew it would someday get out into the open. How can anyone always receive applause throughout their lives?”

Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-Joon, was recently in the news for a possible violation of millitary rules after a member of the public lodged a complaint against him.

The complainant claimed that Rain took frequent leave from service as a celebrity soldier, and demanded he be subjected to punishment for that.

Fortunately for Rain, the case was dismissed by the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office.
