Pretty cheerleader swept to her death on the way home from prom

Alyssa Ramirez, 18, was driving home from prom in San Antonio, America, when she was swept to her death in a flash flood.

According to via AsianTown, "the popular teen was a cheerleader, student council president and star athlete on the tennis and volleyball teams at Devine High School."

Ramirez called her father and the police when she was caught in the flood, but things happened to quickly for help to arrive on time.

Relatives attempted to search for her but only found her body after the flood waters receded. Her death was also mourned by heartbroken classmates.

“I don’t doubt for a second that she’s our guardian angel watching over us,” said friend Alyssa Schmidt.
