Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Fish Leong will stop accepting new jobs for the time being, Guang Ming Daily reported.
Her manager said the 35-year-old singer would be taking leave to focus on her pregnancy, which she announced last week
, after completing all her current stints.
China Press reported that Leong's mother had gone to Taiwan to look after her.
Leong's cousin Z-Chen, who is also a singer, jokingly said he had prepared to be Leong's "maid" during her pregnancy.
"I learnt about the good news a month ago. I am happy for her," he added.
The daily reported that Leong and her Taiwanese businessman husband, Tony Zhao, were trying for a baby so Leong had been cutting down her jobs since October last year.
