Canadian pop prince Justin Bieber will be in Singapore to perform at the Padang stage of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on Sept 23.
The Biebs will be the closing act for the four-day event, which will also see Barbados-born pop diva Rihanna and American alternative rock band The Killers take the Padang stage during the F1 weekend, reports The Straits Times.
Since the 19-year-old was discovered on YouTube in 2008, which led to a chance meeting with RnB singer Usher and a record deal to follow, Bieber has churned out three studio albums and a whole string of hit songs including the famous hit Baby, which has garnered more than 863 million video views on YouTube alone.
Selling more than 15 million albums worldwide and with 40 million followers on Twitter, the Grammy-nominated pop sensation has risen to be one of the most successful and influential teen celebrities in the world.
F1 concert-goers can also expect to see performances by Irish singer-songwriter and former frontman of 1970s band The Boomtown Rats Bob Geldof, Welsh "sex bomb" singer Tom Jones and homegrown acts such as Weish and The Sam Willows at the smaller stages around the Esplanade and Marina Bay areas.
