The recent stories about 2NE1's Park Bom's alleged smuggling of amphetamine to Korea has also brought up another controversy, reports Kpopstarz.

Because she was said to have been prescribed the drug in the US to treat her depression and shock resulting from the death of a friend in her former soccer team in America, her life as a soccer player is being dug up too.

Now, the media, through their continuous research about the idol have unintentionally discovered that Park Bom may have also lied about her age.

Two media outlets, Star Today and TVDaily have already reported about this so the subject is alive once again and currently being discussed in various online forums.

Netizens have already previously suspected her of hiding her real age after an article about Bom, her soccer team, and the death of a player was published in American newspaper some time ago.

Bom's record shows that she was born on March 24, 1984 so her current international age is 30 and 31 in Korea.

Yet, in the American newspaper it was indicated that Jenny Park (Bom's American name) is already a high school sophomore in 1998. Netizens are trying to reason out that the typical ages for sophomores in America are from 15 to 16.

Thus, it means that Bom's birthday is really earlier than 1984.

To further support their logic, netizens dredged up Park Bom's video when she was still a trainee. In the video, dated November 22, 2007, it was cited that her age was 25 at that time.
