Nicole Scherzinger may sing at Nelson Mandela's funeral. The former Pussycat Doll has reportedly held a secret visit with the late revolutionary's daughters at London's Mandarin Hotel and they discussed a potential performance.
An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "During the chat Nicole had with the daughters it was mentioned she should sing at his funeral, or at least be a very prominent guest."
The 'X Factor' UK judge once sang for the political activist - choosing to perform 'Precious Lord' - but she recently joked he was less than impressed with her rendition.
She previously said: "I had the honour of meeting him and I sang him my favourite hymn 'Precious Lord'. "But I don't think he liked it as afterwards he said, 'Have you got anything else?' "
A number of celebrities paid tribute when he passed away on Thursday (05.12.13), including Nicole's 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell, who tweeted his thoughts.
He wrote: "So sad to hear about Nelson Mandela. Rest in peace." Meanwhile, superstar Rihanna took to Instagram to pay her respects.
