Nick Cheung's jaw drops when he meets beautiful Thai actress -- who used to be a man

In his upcoming crime thriller The White Storm, Nick Cheung has an on-screen romance with with famous Thai actress, Poy.

Poy, also known as Treechada Petcharat, was born a male in 1986, reports via Jayne Stars.

When she was, Poy underwent sex reassignment surgery.

She later won the Miss Tiffany’s Universe pageant in Thailand, an annual beauty contest for transgendered people.

Poy also won Miss International Queen, the world’s most prestigious transgender beauty pageant.

Known as Thailand’s most beautiful transgendered woman, Poy has starred in many popular Thai films.

Poy stars as a Thai drug dealer called Mina in The White Storm.

Director Benny Chan praised Poy's natural acting talent.

He said, “Nick Cheung knew he would be working with a transgender actress, but he was in complete shock when he first met Poy. His jaw literally dropped and he couldn’t close it. It was hilarious."
