Sharin Keong (above), 21, winner of the New Paper New Face 2012 has received an offer to model in Hong Kong, but signed on to be a childcare teacher instead.

According to an article in The New Paper, Sharin, who won The New Paper New Face 2012, has been teaching at PCF Kebun Baru Sparkletots for two months after graduating from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a diploma in early childhood education.

Even though she received an offer to move to Hong Kong and model there for three months, she preferred to teach.

She told The New Paper: “I just told myself maybe now is not the right time for me (to pursue modelling)."

The road to New Face 2013 starts today and 11 of The New Paper New Face 2012 alumni will hit Orchard Road to search for potential contestants.
