Miley Cyrus is "obsessed with being alone". The 'Wrecking Ball' singer officially called off her engagement to actor Liam Hemsworth after three years together in September, but claims she now feels "happier than ever".
Speaking to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, she said: "I want to be really clear and determined with everything that I'm doing in my life right now, and I have been.
"I keep saying I'm the happiest I've ever been and that's not even a dig, that's just me because I really am genuinely happy, finally, with myself.
"I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are. I've never been able to just be alone - and I'm obsessed with being alone and hearing my thoughts."
Miley, 20, added she isn't ready to see anyone else yet, and is far too busy to think about starting another relationship.
She added: "I haven't really got to see anyone right now because I've been so crazy busy. "I'm just letting that chapter close, and looking forward to that new one. It's not really awkward because I'm living it.
"I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do. I just believe that when a chapter is done, you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I am right now.
"I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn't really been focused on that."
The singer also told how her new album, 'Bangerz', is a story about her relationship with Liam, but she would rather her fans focused on her music than her love life.
