The newly-pronounced husband and wife will celebrate the wedding of the year with a two-day banquet in KL.Tonight, their reception at the KL Convention Centre will include ministers, dignitaries, officials and the press corps. Tomorrow, their nuptials will be blessed by family and friends at the same venue.Considering the drawn-out affair, the lovers may have the most number of suits, gowns and wedding dresses ever seen for a celebrity couple. Mew Choo alone has 20 outfits in her closet while Chong Wei has 13 pieces in his wardrobe.Mew Choo's dresses include those she wore for the wedding photos taken in Selangor and Penang. Meanwhile, the former coach of the Bukit Jalil Sports School is expected to wear five gowns for the banquets tonight (9th November) and tomorrow night (10th November).Renowned bridal designers Daniel Tang and Leslie Lee from DL Couture are the partners sponsoring her clothes, and those for the best men and bridesmaids, plus about 100 outfits for family members from the bride's and groom's sides.Mew Choo's cheongsam, however, isn't the highlight of the fashion parade. The real deal is a stunning white wedding dress featuring over 10,000 Swarovski crystals tacked to it.Daily Chilli has seen the gorgeous gown, but it's so top secret that we've been asked not reveal it until Saturday night. So be sure to check our Facebook page tomorrow evening when we'll post the first photo of it."Mew Choo is very elegant and as as pure as an angel, so we were working towards bringing out the charm in her," said Daniel, adding that it took him and Leslie a month to get all the dresses ready."Although she portrays a tough image while competing on the badminton court, she also has a feminine side. I'm turning this never-give-up sportswoman into a princess," he continued. After the wedding, all these one-of-a-kind dresses will be auctioned for charity or sold to bridal houses. The couple will also wear Christian Louboutin shoes specially bought from Paris. The package-which includes photography and make-up by Anovia Bridal from Panang, Spozami Wedding Mansion from Johor and Sanyu Chen Beauty-cost about RM1.25 million (S$503,000).Meanwhile, in an effort to stay with an eco-conscious theme, the ballroom has been decorated with "everlasting flowers". "We'll be using thousands of flowers including roses, accompanied by soft warn lighting to represent the subtleness of the atmosphere," said Daniel. The wedding invitation card, which comes in a box, contains pictures of the happy couple, directions to the banquet and a thank you note.
