May the Fourth be With You: Fans celebrate Star Wars Day in S'pore

The Empire held sway at malls and museums on Saturday.Though it's been a while since George Lucas' sixth instalment of the movie franchise hit the big screen, there were still plenty of fans on Star Wars Day to say: May the Fourth be with you.Hundreds of the sci-fi series' aficionados - many not yet born when the first Star Wars movie was released in 1977 - marked May 4, with some dressed up as Star Wars characters and mingling with shoppers on Orchard Road as though it were a Tatooine thoroughfare.About 10 members of FightSaber Singapore put up a lightsaber combat demonstration at Books Kinokuniya in Ngee Ann City.
