American Mandopop star Anthony Neely admitted that he is married with a three-year-old daughter, in a video clip posted on his Facebook page earlier this week.
In the three-minute video titled Anthony Neely's True Confession, the 28-year-old told the camera that he tied the knot in 2010, and had a girl a year later, reports ST Communities.
He added that he kept the information a secret all along as he wanted to protect them from the media spotlight.
He finally decided to confess the truth out of love for his family, he said. "I love my wife, I don't want my wife to keep suffering because of my decision to keep this a secret. I love my daughter, and I don't want to keep explaining to her why I can never take her out to the park and play," he said with tears in his eyes.
"To my beautiful wife, I really love you. It has been really tough on you these few years, and I only want you to be happy. To my baby girl, happy birthday. You are free to be and do anything you want, and I will support and love you forever."
The Facebook post was 'liked' over 12,000 times, with fans posting encouraging comments.
According to Asian Pop News, last year, he admitted to "dating" his girlfriend Vivi for four years. He denied then that he was married but said he Vivi as his significant half.
One comment posted by Facebook user Connie Wu Neely, who is believed to be the singer's mother, said: "I am glad you finally did it. Love you guys. Happy Birthday My granddaughter."
