Man involved in planning Korean concert that left 16 dead reportedly committed suicide

It has only been a few days since tragedy struck at 'The 1st Pangyo Techno Valley Festival', and it seems that the incident, in which 16 were found dead and 11 severely injured was too overwhelming for some to bear.

According to allkpop, on October 18, a Mr. Oh involved in planning the event was found dead after likely committing suicide.

Mr. Oh is a 37-year-old employee of Gyeonggi Institute of Science and Technology Promotion, one of the sponsors of the concert.

According to reports, he was involved in handling safety measures. Mr. Oh was questioned about the incident by the police on October 17.

Shortly thereafter, it is believed that he leapt off from the top of a 10 story building.

His body was found the next morning.

According to the BBC, Mr. Oh left a note saying, "I am sorry for the dead victims. Please take a good care of my children," revealing that he had felt responsible for the incident.
