Malaysian actress looks drastically different -- but says it's not because of plastic surgery

Actress Yana Samsuddin has denied she went under the knife following rumours of drastic changes to her face.

According to an article in Sinar Harian via AsiaOne, Yana, 23, whose real name is Norliana Samsuddin, explained that she had a lost a lot of weight and it could have changed her appearance.

The actress, who has starred in many movies, including Cinta Fotokopi and Tentang Bulan, added that she was injured while filming an episode of Fear Factor in Cape Town, South Africa, and it was among the reasons she lost weight.

"The injury was quite serious but I was not admitted to the hospital. However, I cannot reveal details as it is part of the agreement with the television company.

"Many people tell me that I am much thinner and I look different on Instagram, but when I look back, I am still the person I had always been," she said.
