Rumours had circulated online that she had a boob job and had her nose fixed. But Malaysian beauty Tasha Shilla, 27, has come out to deny the allegations. In fact, the thought of undergoing plastic surgery has never crossed her mind, she told The New Paper.
“I’m happy with everything that I have and everything that’s happening in my life now. I appreciate them all,” the actress said.
Tasha was in town with her co-stars to promote upcoming drama series Kasih Berbisik and meet with fans at Great World City last Friday.
In May, she had posted on her Facebook page a photo of herself in a tight-fitting top drinking from a mug while holding up a box with the label Zofea Beauty Secret.
The photo was captioned: “I feel blessed that my dreams are achieved after trying Zofea Beauty Secret. It’s the best”.
According to the Zofea Beauty Secret website, it is a drink that claims to help firm breasts and increase bust size, as well as improve skin condition.
It created buzz online as Tasha’s ample chest in the photo became a hot topic of discussion.
What does she have to say?
“I’m just sharing my experiences and it’s up to everyone else what they want to say or believe,” she said.
On her detractors, Tasha said: “They don’t know me so I just relax, stay strong and positive, and show sincerity in my work.”
In her latest role as Tina, she plays the cousin of lead character Imran (played by Malaysian actor Remy Ishak) in the drama series jointly produced by MediaCorp Eaglevision and Malaysia’s Primeworks Studios.
Tina falls for Imran and tries to break up his relationship with his wife, Nora (played by Suria actress-host Nurul Aini).
The 13-episode drama, which also stars local actor Nick Mikhail, Malaysian heart-throb Keith Foo and Indonesian actress Demmy Febriana, premieres on Suria on Oct 1 at 9.30pm.
Tasha, who has acted in Malaysian drama series like Terukir Di Bintang and Epilog Cinta Khirana, said that she is used to antagonist roles.
“The difference in this show is that I had to learn a different Malay dialect and use that in expressing my feelings towards Imran. It’s quite tough,” she admitted.
She describes Remy’s character Imran as someone “who knows what he wants in his career, gives good advice and stands by what he believes in”.
But when asked for qualities that she likes in men in real life, Tasha remains tight-lipped. “Secret” was all she would say.
Tasha has been dating Malaysian Chinese muay thai fighter Wong Han Chen for the last 1½ years. Her relationship with her tattooed boyfriend was also under heavy public scrutiny. But Tasha continues to be open with her love life.
“People will know when they look at my Instagram account. I want my fans to know that I’m with someone,” she said.
Her boyfriend, whom she affectionately calls Hans, also gives her the strength to face the backlash from media and fans.
“Together with my family, he’s my pillar of support,” she said.
