Malaysian actor Zed Zaidi doesn't care if S'poreans hate him

He angered many Singaporeans with his harsh comment on Twitter following Aaron Aziz’s Bintang Paling Popular (Most Popular Star) win at Malaysia's Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2011 last year.Malaysian actor Zed Zaidi had said that he would be prouder if a Malaysian had bagged the award, reports The New Paper.He went on to sarcastically thank his fellow citizens for encouraging foreign talent to destroy the industry.When asked for his thoughts on his unpopularity and his “bad guy‘ reputation here, Zed said: “It’s up to you if you want to hate me or not. These naysayers don’t know the workings of the industry so they don’t know the problems.‘The 32-year-old called the controversy a "miscommunication" and that he was merely trying to "protect the interests of the industry".
