Makiyo and her Japanese ex-boyfriend Tomoyori were embroiled in a drunken attack on a 55-year-old cabby two years ago. Her image was ruined and Makiyo also vowed to quit drinking after the incident.

However, Makiyo was spotted in a drunken state at a wedding ceremony two nights ago.

It was a wedding dinner of the owner of a renowned hair salon, and many celebrities were invited. Towards the end of the dinner, Makiyo went up the stage and shouted, “We finished all the wine today!”

The drunk Makiyo nearly tripped after walking down the stage, and had to be held by a friend to hail a taxi. Her friend had to shove her into the taxi, and assisted her to fasten the seal belt, reports Asian Pop News.

When asked on her vow to quit drinking, Makiyo responded yesterday, “I started to drink when I celebrated my mum’s birthday in March this year.

"I am able to control my alcohol better now, but it’s because I can’t hold my liquor as well as before, I got drunk after drinking just 3 glasses of red wine. As it was a friend’s wedding yesterday, I was very happy and hence drank a little.”

Makiyo was worried about her mother’s illness in August as her cancer had worsen. Makiyo’s mum has stopped chemotherapy as it was too taxing on her body.

When Makiyo’s mum was asked on Makiyo’s drinking again, she said, “I really don’t want to add on to her burden. Her job is unstable and chemotherapy has to use up a lot of money. Probably she is too stressed, and hence started to drink again.”
