Taiwanese-Japanese TV celebrity Makiyo's mother, 63, had been suffering from Stage 4 cancer.

According to Asian Pop News, her illness had started to change for the better as she underwent treatment, but then she had a fall at home a few days ago.

She had been trying to sit and could not gauge the distance of the chair.

Upon examination after the fall, doctors found a 4-cm tumour in her brain. Makiyo's mother was scheduled to undergo an emergency suregery two days ago on Aug 14.

However, after doctors went through an evaluation, they were advised to postpone it as it might be too risky for the 63-year-old.

Makiyo said:

"My mum has undergone chemotherapy for 4 months, and we are worried her body might not be able to take it.

"We will moniter her condition before any surgery."
