Chow Yun Fat, Donnie Yen and Aaron Kwok attended a celebratory banquet for The Monkey King recently.

The film has raked in RMB 800 million in china and HK$25 million in Hong Kong.

Thanks to the terrific box office sales, Filmko has announced the making of a sequel, and filming will commence in August.

Louis Koo has also confirmed that he will take on the role of the monk, Tang Sanzang.

When the chairman of Filmko Entertainment Group, Wang Haifeng, was asked if Louis is too dark for the Tang Sanzang role, Wand replied: "I met him yesterday and he is bot that dark. Anyway the journey to the west is so far. It's natural to get dark!"

Chow Yun Fat, who acts as the Jade Emperor, praised that Louis is very handsome.

He also said jokingly, "It doesn't matter if he has a dark complexion! He just has to bleach his skin!

"He has to use lemon water to clean his face every day.

"It should be fine after filming for two to three months."
