Lorde's 'Royals' banned from San Francisco radio -- for very curious reason

The World Series week is the culmination of the American baseball season when the two best teams in the country meet in a best-of-seven series to be crowned Best in the World.

This year features the San Francisco Giants (winners in 2010 and 2012) up against the Kansas City Royals (winners back in 1985).

Fans of both teams take things very seriously in the run-up to the big games, but San Francisco have probably gone one step too far.

According to an article in beat102103.com, Two San Francisco radio stations have reportedly banned “Royals” by Lorde for the duration of the World Series, presumably because they think it will bring bad luck.

In response, a Kansas City station have promised to play the song every hour from 7am to 7pm for every day of the World Series.
