Guess what, your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man will be coming to Singapore next month to celebrate Earth Hour.

Andrew Garfield, who plays the masked webslinger in the Amazing Spiderman movie franchise, will join the world’s largest environmental grassroots movement at The Float@Marina Bay on Mar 29 at 8.30pm, to switch off the lights across Singapore’s signature Marina Bay skyline for an hour.

Garfield will be joined in the Lion City by his co-stars, Emma Stone and Jaime Foxx, as well as the fim's producers.

Spider-Man was recently announced as the first Super Hero ambassador for the annual environmental conservation event since its launch in 2007.

Meanwhile, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)-Singapore has launched an on-the-ground and online campaign for four key action initiatives in line with Earth Hour.

WWF-Singapore is urging everybody to pledge and commit to turning their air-conditioning up by one degree, switching to LED lighting, using fewer plastic bags and taking shorter showers.
