Italian fashion house Etro threw a star-studded opening bash for their new boutique at Marina Bay Sands with local celebrities Zoe Tay, Jeanette Aw and Yvonne Lim on March 20.

Music maestro Dick Lee was instantly recognisable in his usual flamboyant attire, sporting a bright orange suit and his signature snow-white hair style.

Socialites Fanny Low and Linda Soo-Tan also joined in the festivities as they showed up in their take of glammed-up paisley fashion, reports AsiaOne.

Television personalities George Young and Henry Goulding threw in some debonaire flair as they showed up in sleek suits and with handsome smiles.

Mr Gianfranco Piedigrotta, Director of Retail, Franchise and Travel for Etro, Dr Gianluca Rubagotti from The Embassy of Italy, Ms Lindsay Nicholas of Marina Bay Sands, Ms Rebecca Halim Kusuma, Owner of Graha Lifestyle, and local actress Zoe Tay had the honours of cutting the red ribbon at the opening ceremony in front of an audience of about 200 guests.

The celebrities and guests then enjoyed a fashion display of the Spring/Summer 2014 collection over champagne and canapes, and many photo-opportunities.

The new Etro boutique, which is the second flagship store in Singapore, has 2,300 sq ft floor space and a VIP room for the brand's customers.

The interior was tastefully decorated to represent the latest generation of Etro boutiques with details such as the gray lacquered panelling on the walls, plated glass and steel bars for its display units.

The new flagship will feature the full range of womenswear, menswear and accessories, including its fragrances.
