Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chi-ling has expressed her support for the 'Mom Loves Taiwan' anti-nuclear alliance that will be launched by Executive Chairperson of the Fubon Cultural and Educational Foundation Irene Chen. China News reported that Lin issued a comment on Monday (Feb 25), saying that the current generation has a responsibility towards social causes and should be more aware of current affairs. Chen’s anti-nuclear alliance calls for 100,000 mothers to hit the streets to raise public awareness about nuclear safety. She has also called on the government to respect public opinion and be honest about the potential dangers of operating the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant. The anti-nuclear alliance will be officially established on Mar 8. Lin is a long-time supporter of charity efforts involving children and teenagers. In 2011, she established the Chiling Charity Foundation in Taipei, aiming to help children fulfill their dreams and receive better education.
