Liam Hemsworth is claimed to be burying himself in work in a bid to drown out all the controversy surrounding Cyrus and his relationship with her.
He allegedly believes his ex-fiancee is desperately trying to get his attention by being controversial, and is determined to ignore her by throwing himself into filming the third 'The Hunger Games' movie, 'Mockingjay - Part 1', in Atlanta, Georgia.
A source said: "Miley is doing all this stuff to get Liam's attention, but it isn't getting to him. Liam's totally zoned into work right now.
"He's not paying attention to Miley and all their drama anymore. He doesn't see the point because they're done, his focus is on work and his future and he's very busy with this movie. It's a demanding role and he's not going to let any drama get him off track."
Meanwhile, Miley cyrus has been claimed to be 'pretty devastated' at the end of their relationship.
A source who's said to be close to Miley was quoted as saying in a media report: "Miley is extremely angry. She's saying she doesn't care about Liam, that she's better off without him, all that kind of stuff. But the truth is she's pretty devastated."
"She totally believed that no matter what happened, she and Liam would work it all out. She thought he was her soul mate. Him just walking away like this and not fighting for her, is heartbreaking."
If Cyrus was grieving about no longer being with Hemsworth, the mood displayed by the Australian actor was one of stark contrast.
First, he was spotted smooching Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez just a day after he and Cyrus publicly confirmed the end of their four-year relationshnip.
Following that, Hemsworth racked up a $3,800 tab with his friends on Sunday (Sep 29) at a sports bar in New York City.
The 23-year-old actor spent the afternoon at sports bar Ainsworth Park in New York City with pals including actor James Marsden, where they first ordered beers and mini-burgers before moving on to tequila.
The group stayed at the bar for five hours and while there was no sign of Liam's latest love interest Eiza Gonzalez, People.com reports he chatted to two women he met at the establishment.
