The Korean entertainment industry had lost another gem after veteran actress, Han Kyung Sun, passed away this weekend. She was 53. On June 30, after filming, she had a meal with the staff of her current MBC drama, "The Great Wives."

When they were already leaving the restaurant, she suddenly collapsed and was immediately brought to the hospital. She remained unconscious the whole night and woke up on July 1st.

However, her consciousness did not last long as she quickly slipped into coma state. She was brought to the ICU and declared in critical condition, reports Kpopstarz.

Her colleagues, family, and friends including Heo In Young, Park Seo Hyun, and Ji Soo Won were reported to have stayed at her bedside and they continued to pray that she would wake up. They also asked for prayers from everyone for her safety and recovery.

But unfortunately, she failed to recover and her condition only worsened at a fast pace. She had been diagnosed to have suffered from a type of stroke with cerebral infarction or hemorrhage and this was the main cause of her death.
