You would think Kim Jong Un would be pretty angry at a movie that depicts the North Korean leader's assasination, but that's quite the opposite.
Instead, he has reflected that he would probably watch it.
According to ST Communities, Columbia released the first trailer for The Interview, which comes out in October, last week - the premise revolves around a talk show host (played by James Franco) and his producer (Rogen) landing an interview with Kim (Randall Park).
The CIA enlists their help in assassintating Kim, with hilarity enusing as they poke fun about certain myths concerning the North Korean leader.
Now, Kim Myong-chol, an unoffocial spokesman for the regime, has told The Daily Telegraph that Kim Jong Un would likely watch the film.
“There is a special irony in this storyline as it shows the desperation of the U.S. government and American society,” he added.
“A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the U.S. has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Ukraine.”
