Jaycee Chan arrested for harbouring drug users, faces up to 3 years' jail

Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan's son Jaycee Chan was arrested today on suspicion of harbouring drug users, following his recent detainment for drug use in Beijing.

According to a report in Lianhe Wanbao via AsiaOne, the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China announced on its official Weibo account today that the arrest of Chan has been approved, and that they are conducting further investigations.

If found guilty, Chan can be jailed up to three years.

Apple Daily Taiwan earlier reported that Chan and Taiwanese actor Kai Ko were arrested on August 12 in Beijing after testing positive for marijuana consumption.

Beijing police had also uncovered more than 110g of marijuana during an inspection of Chan's apartment.
