You may know that TV actor and presenter George Young and Taiwan travel host Janet Hsieh have been friends for 10 years, and are now lovers.
So what changed between the two previously purely platonic pals who will have known each other for exactly 10 years come April 2014 - from the time they first met when Young was the third wheel on a date set up by his agency for Hsieh and a fellow model friend?
"I was really sick when I went back to Taiwan over New Year's and in fact, my fever was so bad the Taiwan health authorities had pulled me over in the airport to be quarantined," he shared with The Straits Times.
"But, Janet made me a soup. A mushroom and garlic soup and a chicken salad. I've been roommates with her for a long time. And we've travelled tons together, but this was the first time I saw her cook.
"She's mentioned before she's baked in the past, but this was the first time I saw her cook, and it made me see a different side to her. Mushroom and garlic soup. It's the love potion."
Well, all that garlic must have worked because that led to - The Kiss. "She made the first move," Young chuckled merrily. He added: "She is going to be so annoyed I said that! But she went in for it at 90 per cent. I just went that 10. I was taken advantage off!"
"Think about it, I was sick, and had a fever," he quipped cheekily, painting a picture of feigned innocence. But that fateful kiss was what sealed the deal for the actor who recently finished filming a Chinese series where he plays a chef for a local TV channel.
"It's always about the kiss. I've had experiences where the lips aren't compatible, and it feels too much like they are trying to eat the person up. My worst kiss. It felt almost like a dog that is too pleased to see you, and just slobbers all over your face.
"It was like a scene from ghostbusters and I was being slimed." Of the kiss that sparked their relationship, he said: "It wasn't awkward at all. I know it sounds strange. We've been in each other's lives for a long time.
"I've known all about her previous relationships, and she's known all about mine. But it wasn't awkward...fevers and romantic encounters. They come highly recommended!"
