Here are some secrets on how these celebs shed those extra pounds

Celebrities are constantly in the limelight and have the extra pressure of looking good all of the time.

We have seen numerous slightly heavier celebrities slim down due to effective dieting and fitness plans.

Below are the stories of how some of these heavier celebs lost their weight, shared by Women's Circle.

Jack Osbourne shed 70 pounds in the Spring and Summer of 2005 making him almost unrecognisable.

Jack kick started his healthier lifestyle by ditching the drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and junk food and then spent one week in a kickboxing camp in Thailand.

He then followed an extreme fitness regime which involved jogging and rock climbing.

Nicole Richie is another example of a celeb who we witnessed loosing a lot of weight.

Nicole lost her weight by hiring a personal trainer to help her work out, doing a lot of cardio exercises and leading a healthier lifestyle in general.

Anna Nicole Smith, a reality tv star shed 69 pounds by using TrimpSpa, a diet pill designed to help prevent you from feeling hungry along with eating several small meals a day.Carrie Underwood claimed writing down everything she ate each day and how many calories each food contained helped her with her weight loss.

She also installed a home gym with a balance ball for her ab work, an elliptical machine for cardio and weights for her arms and shoulders.Renee Zellweger lost 28 pounds by combining 3 diet plans.

These were the Zone diet, the Macrobiotic diet and the KimKins diet. Her diet included tuna, cold meat, salad and vegetables and she exercised for 2 hours a day in the gym.

Beyonce Knowles lost 20 pounds in 10 days for the filming of her movie Dream Girls by using the Master Cleanse Diet.

This is a diet where a drink of water mixed with lemon, maple syrup and and pepper is consumed as instead of any solid food.

Jennifer Hudson lost 80 pounds by taking part in Weight Watchers although she believes her weight loss was also largely due to a change in mentality. Now she says she can eat whatever she wants and it’s just how she eats it that matters.

Jessica Simpson shed her pounds by cutting sugars out of her diet and exercising for 2 hours a day.

The star cut all sugar except fruit out of her diet and claims that was the hardest part of losing weight.

Other actors whose weight losses we have witnessed include; director Peter Jackson, Ricki Lake and Oprah Winfrey.

Although we may see celebs losing a lot of weight in short periods and wish to do the same we must remember to always do it in a way that is healthy and will not harm our bodies.
