Inspired by her favourite Japanese comic 'The Prince of Tennis', a student managed to lose 33kg and be crowned college beauty queen.

Read on to find out how she did it.

Mina Itabashi, 19, loved the Tenisu no ÅŒjisama manga so much, she took to playing the sport and practising her tennis swing -- 300 practice swings each with both her right and left hand every day.

From 76kg, she slowly shed the weight and emerged weighing 33kg lighter at 44kg and she was also crowned 2012's Miss Nihon University (College of Law Division).

Mina also appeared on television for her amazing weight loss and her beauty, reported RocketNews24.

Mina was born on 20 October 1993 in Tokyo. She's about 1.62m tall so being 44kg makes her somewhat underweight as her ideal weight should be 53kg.

Her amazing achievement is even more incredible than the cosplay lover Rolan Ajo who lost 20kg to fit into a costume and not be laughed at.
