Most talent shows know how to get a good sob fest going.
Every talent show from America's Got Talent to X-Factor, American Idol to So You Think You Can Dance, always has a few contestants with sad stories behind them.
The underdogs that have you rooting for them from the start.
A 20-year-old girl - Zheng Gui Gui - elicits this reaction in a video that has been making its rounds on the Internet, reports The Straits Times Communities.
She was born fingerless on her right hand that extends to a stump just after her knuckles.
The fearless teen says, "I thank the heavens for giving me such a special hand that allows me to play beautiful melodies," just before she performs the complex Souvenir D'enfance by Richard Clayderman on the piano on national TV for China's Got Talent.
And despite her talent, Zheng does not have lofty ambitions for stardom.
When asked by a judge what her real dream is, her reply: "To be a kindergarten teacher and be able to play beautiful melodies for the children."
