She made waves in China with her ample assets and barely-there outfits.
And she's known as China's Top Nude Model, a label she has been given by her countrymen.
So, it's no surprise that busty Chinese model Gan Lu Lu will mark her first-ever performance in Singapore with a get-up that will leave nothing much to imagination.
The 27-year-old model will wear a see-through cheongsam, and two other costumes, when she takes to the stage at Club Lava for its opening party this Saturday (Jun 1).
Gan, who will jet into town with her mother, Lei Bing Xia, and younger sister Gan Mao Mao, will be performing three songs and playing games with the audience, including a suggestive "suck and blow" game using jelly shots, said a spokesperson for the new Chijmes nightspot.
Responding to The New Paper's interview questions through voice messages on WeChat, a mobile phone text and voice messaging app, Gan said of her costumes: "One of them is a handmade dress studded with beads, diamonds and crystals.
Another is a see-through cheongsam, with a bikini under it."
In the interview, she also revealed that she sheds all her clothes only during bedtime as it's "very healthy" to sleep in the buff, and that she has no inhibitions about doing so.
"Aside from my mother, there's no one else in my room," she said in, Mandarin.Gan, 27, also confirmed reports in the Chinese media claiming she never wears a bra.
"The only exception is when I'm shooting a lingerie ad," she said.
"This allows my breasts to be free, because they're still growing and I don't want them to be constrained."
Gan is reportedly a 32D, although she declined to confirm this, saying she "does not measure the size of her breasts".
When asked how she keeps her assets in good shape, Gan, who denied undergoing any form of breast enhancement, said she exercises regularly, stays cheerful and consumes food like papaya, hashima (a Chinese dessert) and milk.
Although Gan started out in showbiz as an actress, her biggest claim to fame or rather, infamy, was in February 2011, when a video of her in the shower went viral in China and made headlines around the region.
The video was a bizarre attempt at matchmaking by Gan's mother, who reportedly barged into the bathroom and filmed her daughter.Gan did not score a date because of that video, but it made her extremely well known. She declined to answer further questions about the incident, saying only that "it did not affect our relationship".
That same year, she turned to modelling and started to make appearances at car shows and to perform on stage, earning her titles like China's Top Nude, Model, Queen of Controversy and Sexy Goddess.
When asked about these labels, Gan said: "I like 'Sexy Goddess' and 'Queen of Controversy', but the term 'nude model' doesn't sound too respectful."As long as the term is a respectful one, I'll be able to accept it."
But Gan's suggestive style of dressing and performance are not exactly widely accepted.Earlier this month, billboards of her performance in Nanjing next Friday raised eyebrows as they were reportedly located near several schools.
The advertisements showed Gan wearing a one-piece swimsuit, with the description "China's top sexy goddess".
Several Chinese netizens expressed their unhappiness on Weibo, saying the billboards were an "unhealthy influence" on children.
When asked about this, Gan said there were lessons to be learnt.
"Although I have a sexy image, I hope organisers who host my events will be mindful of where they place the advertisements," she said.
"If they're placed near schools, maybe they can use photos that are less sexy."
