Eyebrows have recently been raised over a now-deleted Instagram photo that G-Dragon allegedly posted, as netizens ask whether the idol was referring to a notorious party drug.
The photo in question showed the word "Molly" inside a heart surrounded by white flakes, reports allkpop. With rising concerns about a party drug nicknamed 'Molly', which can contain MDMA - an active ingredient in Ecstasy, some wondered if G-Dragon was expressing his support for it.
Although some argued that perhaps the idol did not know what 'Molly' could refer to, others pointed out that he has a history of making references to the drug.
G-Dragon previously shared the picture below back in 2012, with the caption, "Popped a M*l*y and now we're sweatin' whoo!", which is a phrase from the song "All Gold Everything" by Trinidad James.
It was also pointed out he also made references to the drug with his 2013 post seen below, as well as in his collaborative track "Dirty Vibe" with 2NE1's CL, Diplo, and Skrillex through the lyrics, "I don't pop molly, I rock microphones."
Since G-Dragon had previously gotten into some hot waters with his marijuana controversy in 2011, netizens pointed out that the idol should be taking care to be more cautious about throwing around references to drugs.
They left comments such as ,"Didn't you learn your lesson?","Why do you upload something like this?","Really? What are you trying to imply?","Maybe it's just someone's name?" and so on.
