David Tao tries to escape after coming across reporters at his dinner date

Taiwanese singer David Tao reportedly tried to escape from a restaurant after he was spotted on a date with a woman by a reporter.

According to a report on Apple Daily, Tao was out with his date at a restaurant in Taipei and a reporter saw him chatting non-stop with her and making her laugh throughout the meal on Sunday (Dec 29).

The pair were said to have been seated at a centre table surrounded by other patrons, which suggests that they had no intention of hiding from anyone.

However, when David, 44, noticed a reporter in their midst, he anxiously asked a staff member if there was any backdoor for thie restaurant.

They were told there was no back door exit, which led to them leaving through the front of the restaurant.

Tao's date reportedly resembles Taiwanese model Jian Baoshan, an ex-girlfriend of his said to have married him secretly in 2011.

That marriage' was said to have lasted only a year.

In a recent interview, the 44-year-old singer-songwriter revealed that he is in a relationship currently but clarified that his girlfriend is not Jian.

When approached about his recent date, David's manager said that the woman was not Baoshan and that he was only saying hello to a friend during a break from his rehearsals.
