David Beckham stuns Scottish whisky factory workers with surprise visit

David Beckham made a surprise visit to two Scottish whisky factories.

The retired soccer superstar stunned unsuspecting workers by dropping by for a private tour of drinks company Diageo's plants in Fife and Clackmannanshire with his agent Simon Fuller.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The last thing workers expected to see when they turned up for work was a superstar like Beckham strolling around. It definitely caused a bit of excitement. He has a lot of big fans here."

Diageo bosses were warned to keep David's visit undercover and staff were under strict instructions to not share news of his visit on social media sites and were banned from taking pictures of the superstar.

A spokesperson for Diageo commented: "We were delighted to host a private visit by David Beckham while he was in Scotland with Simon Fuller, who is a good friend of Diageo."

Celebrity agent Simon represents David, 38, as well as his wife Victoria, 39, with whom the sportsman has sons Brooklyn,14, Romeo, 11, Cruz, 8, and two-year-old daughter Harper.
