Who is rookie Chinese actress Wang Ruo Yi? That is the question on the lips of observers after rumours of her dating JYJ's Kim Jaejoong surfaced.

Soompi reported that Ruo visited Kim's home during her vacation in Korea in August, and even took a picture of her being there, which she uploaded to her SNS account.

However, the picture, which showed Wang next to a life-sized gorilla doll and a black horse doll, caused an uproar among fans of JYJ as they feel she may be using Kim Jaejoong to catapault herself into fame.

She took flak for a similar situation previously, when she snapped a photo with popular actor Sik Siu Lung.

She was accused of using Sik's reputation to boost her own popularity, while some even went as far as to suggest she was in a love triangle with Sik and Kim.

However, Wang has claimed innocence over the photo.

In a post, she wrote: "I didn’t know a single photo taken from when I was in Korea in August would cause such a big problem.

"Many fans have requested that I delete the photo but I thought erasing it would cause a greater misunderstanding.

“I wasn’t the only one who visited Jaejoong’s house but other people were there too so I don’t know why I’m the only one who is being mentioned.”

Wang went on to post a follow-up explanation after these incidents which read: “Sik Siu Lung was my friend, who I was close to three years ago but now, we don’t even contact each other.”

Wang is a 25-year-old actress who was a student of a famous acting academy that produced the likes of Zhang Ziyi and Tang Wei.

She was recruited to be a model after a photographer spotted her in Beijing in 2009.

She was active as a model and gradually carved out an acting career.

Some of her filmography works include “Color Me Love,” and “Wish Me Happy Birthday.”
