As a prelude to the TVB Anniversary Awards in December, the Starhub TVB Awards 2014 was held last night at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

According to Asian Pop News, Charmaine Sheh returns after a 2-year absence with the blockbuster drama 'Line Walker'.

Besides bagging the award for 'My Favourite TVB Female TV Character', she also clinched the award for 'My Favourite TVB Actress'.

Receiving the award on stage, Charmaine recalled the difficulties she had while filming the series. Besides suffering from slipped disc, she also had insomnia and lost a lot of weight at that time.

She said on stage, "Thank you everyone for your support. This proves that the audience loves the character. This award reminds me of when I was filming the series. No matter how tough it was, it's all worth it now."

Ruco Chan was in shock when his name came up for 'My Favourite TVB Actor', beating the hot favourites Roger Kwok and Bosco Wong.

Him Law and Sharon Chan bagged the 'My Favourite Supporting Actor and Actress' awards.

Roger Kwok and Kristal Tim won 'My Favourite TVB on-screen couple' for their thriller series, 'Black Heart White Soul'.

The series also won the 'My Favourite TVB Drama' award.
