Cecilia Cheung and her manager were reportedly sued by a mainland China filming company because she failed to turn up for a recording session in July, said Asian E-News Portal.

According to the report, Cecilia had earlier agreed to participate in a programme, Muse Dress (女神的新衣), in Mainland China and collected 200 million RMB as deposit.

Her manager Yu Su Xiang, however, said it is the filming company that failed to honour their contract.

Yu said: "In July, before the recording, we already send a lawyer letter to inform them, due to the broadcasting television station being changed from Hunan television to Dragon television.

"Also, the details were different from the contract and they were supposed to invite female stars, Gao Yuanyuan (高圓圓), Lin Chi Ling (林志玲) and others. But Lin Chi Ling turned out to be one of the guests only."

He emphasised that they did not collect any deposit and said: "They returned around 100 million dollars as they owed us money previously. Thus, it is unrelated to deposit." He added the case was currently being handled by a lawyer.

When asked about Cecilia Cheung's recent condition, Yu Shu Xing replied that Cecilia had been working hard all along and said: "After recording the programme, Cecilia will be preparing her own album, reality show and participating in two new movies."
