Arrested K-pop singer to be investigated on sexual allegations

Ko allegedly lured a 13-year-old girl into his car and made an inappropriate move on her on Dec. 1 last year. He is said to have approached the girl with the promise that he would help her become a celebrity. Additionally, the former member of K-pop group Roo’Ra was under police investigation last March and April for allegedly leading an 18-year-old girl to drink at his apartment and sexually assaulting her. Police sought an arrest warrant for Ko on charges of sexual assault of a minor, but the arrest warrant for the 37-year-old singer was rejected by the court on the grounds of ensuring his legal defense rights. Ko was later sued by two different women, but denied wrongdoing.The Seodaemun police department sought an arrest warrant for Ko to investigate the recent incident, but the prosecution ordered the department file for the arrest warrants for both the previous and current sexual assault allegations. Ko was detained on Thursday.
