Malaysian actress Lee Sinje attended a Hong Kong wrap party last Friday for The Election, Hong Kong TV's first drama to be shown online and on mobile phones when it launches next month.

It was her first appearance at a public function following director-husband Oxide Pang's cheating scandal in May.

"We have let it go," Lee, 38, answered reporters when asked about the scandal.

"It's over. Now we go forward."

They have remained a couple after Pang, 49, apologised publicly in May following the publication of photos showing him kissing model Liddy Li, 27, at a Hong Kong mall.

The Election is a political drama starring Lee and Liu Kai Chi and it depicts a 2022 election in which the public vote for their chief executive from a list of candidates selected by an election committee, according to the South China Morning Post.

The drama comes at a time when Occupy Central protests for democracy are roiling Hong Kong. It was reportedly picked in a poll as the first programme to be shown on HKTV, which will launch as an Internet TV service after its bid for a free-to-air TV licence was rejected.

The drama will air on Nov 19, the same day when free-to-air station TVB celebrates its 47th anniversary.
