Dating for four years, Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) and Angelababy (楊穎) had kept their relationship low-profile and were careful to not show too much affection for each other in public.

However, things turned around on Angelababy’s 25th birthday last week, when Xiaoming suddenly crashed her bachelorette party by surprising her with a black matte Lamborghini.

Angelababy was utterly surprised and immediately hugged Xiaoming on the spot amidst a crowd of reporters and friends, officially confirming their relationship to the public for the first time.

Netizens expressed their happiness for the couple and Xiaoming was praised for being a sweetheart, but could it be possible that Xiaoming’s entire surprise visit was staged?

According to recent reports, the Lamborghini that Xiaoming gifted Angelababy was in fact a used car that was already registered under Angelababy’s name for some time, reports Jayne Stars via

Sources say that the car was originally owned by Chilam Cheung (張智霖), who later transferred the car to his manager, Stephen Shiu Jr (蕭定一). Stephen then sold the Lamborghini to a car company, which was then later purchased by Angelababy’s own private company for $2.3 million HKD.

It was mentioned that the car had already been registered under Angelababy’s name by the time Xiaoming allegedly “surprised” Angelababy on her birthday party last Friday.
