Ang Lee beats Spielberg for Best Director at Oscars

Taiwanese film-maker Ang Lee wins his second Best Director Oscar for his adaptation of the award-winning novel, Life Of Pi, surprising audiences with his victory over popular choices such as Lincoln director Steven Spielberg.According to a report in the Straits Times, this was a win that 'no one saw coming'.Life of Pi has been nominated for 11 Oscars in total.Ang Lee's first Oscar award for Best Director came in 2006 for the drama film, Brokeback Mountain starring Jake Gyllenhaal.Browse the gallery for more photos of Ang Lee and other celebrities at the Oscars.Photos: Reuters
