AKB48’s sister group HKT48 will make major debut next year

Source: Tokyo HiveIt’s been revealed that AKB48’s sister group HKT48 will be making their major debut under Universal Music next year. This was announced by the members on November 8th after their performance at HKT48 Theater in Hakata, Fukuoka. HKT48 made their theater debut on November 26th of last year, and will soon be celebrating their 1 year anniversary. They are the youngest among the AKB48-related groups with an average age of 14.7. While being active in Fukuoka, the girls recently started a regular program in the Kanto region called ‘˜HaKaTa Hyakkaten‘˜. Following SKE48 and NMB48, HKT48 will become AKB48’s 3rd sister group to make their CD debut. The title, release date, and other details will be revealed later.
